Flame of Love Cenacle

Schedule

1st Wednesdays of the Month
3:45–4:45 PM
St. Patrick Church

What is a Cenacle?
The Cenacle (from Latin cēnāculum “dining room”), also known as the “Upper Room” (from Koine Greek anagaion and hyperōion, both meaning “upper room”) was traditionally held to be the site of the Last Supper. In Christian tradition, the room was not only the site of the Last Supper (i.e. the Cenacle), but the room in which the Holy Spirit alighted upon the eleven apostles after Easter. It is sometimes thought to be the place where the apostles stayed in Jerusalem.

What is a Flame of Love Cenacle?
A Flame of Love Cenacle is a gathering, usually recurring, preferably before the Blessed Sacrament either exposed or in the Tabernacle. There is usually instruction and discussion about the devotion. There is always prayer – typically the Flame of Love Rosary, Unity Prayer, and Meditation on the five wounds of Jesus and sometimes there is adoration.

What is the Flame of Love?
The Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a spiritual diary of a devout and humble Hungarian woman named Elizabeth Kindelmann. The Flame of Love is Jesus Himself and lives in Mary’s Immaculate Heart. The primary goal of this Flame is to save souls by passing on the Flame to each other through prayer. As this happens, Satan will be blinded and souls will find themselves able to respond to God’s actual graces.

Where did this devotion come from?
This all started during a time when Hungary had been facing persecution for many years. Elizabeth Kindelmann received messages from Jesus and Mary between 1961 and 1982. Together, they taught her the Flame of Love devotion. This devotion is church-approved. To learn more about the Flame of Love devotion, visit www.flameoflove.us

What does devotion to the Flame of Love do?
Our Lady promises that "By my Flame of Love, a new era of grace, never before known on the earth, will begin. With this Flame, you will light all the hearts in the world. This Flame will become a fire, and with its shining light, this fire will blind Satan." So through the Flame of Love Rosary, we can save many souls, including our own.

How can I participate in the Flame of Love Cenacle at St. Patrick?
The basis of starting this devotion is first, to introduce the Flame of Love to St. Patrick Parish. Second, it is to provide an opportunity for moms (dads, grandparents) to participate in this rosary prayer with children of all ages, and y
es, even those wild and crazy little ones! We have all been there, wanting to attend an event at church to grow our spiritual life, but not sure if we can make it happen with littles in tow. THIS is the group for you! The children have been enjoying leading this prayer time while also learning about the Flame of Love. Stay for the whole rosary or just one decade. Whatever works best for your family.

Again, everyone is welcome and we invite kids of all ages to lead the rosary, giving the young children of our parish a unique opportunity to come together and pray.

For questions, contact Melissa Dierenfeldt at 660-483-1122 or melissa_mt-bc@hotmail.com. No prior knowledge of the rosary is needed. Prayer booklets and rosaries will be available. We hope you can join us.
