About St. Patrick PSR

Parish School of Religion (PSR) provides weekly catechetical instruction to children in first through eighth grade who attend public schools, so that young people can grow in intimacy with Jesus, be knowledgeable about their faith, and integrate the teachings of the Gospel into their lives.

Classes meet on Wednesday evenings during the school year in our St. Patrick School building.

There are 2 sessions to choose from:

  • Session “A” 5:00-6:15 PM
  • Session “B” 6:45-8:00 PM

The PSR program aides the parents in preparing their child/children for Reconciliation and First Eucharist (2nd Grade) and Confirmation (8th Grade).

St. Patrick school of religion’s sacrament program is designed with a focus on family participation, study of the sacraments, as well as service and celebration of the sacrament. Some events require mandatory attendance by the students and parent(s).

It is absolutely necessary for students attending the sacrament grades, second and eighth grade, to attend classes regularly. They must also complete all assignments and participate fully in the process of the program. Parent involvement is very important in both sacramental programs. At least one parent must attend all parent meetings. Parent meetings will be listed on the psr calendar. Advance notification of mandatory meetings will be sent via e-mail.

Please inform the PSR director or pastor if your child has not received prior sacraments. Arrangements can be made to obtain proper religious education to receive these sacraments.
