Crocheters

CROCHETERS CLUB
Do you like to or want to learn how to crochet or knit?  Would you enjoy being with a group of crocheters or knitters to share your love of yarn? How about having a handcrafting ‘expert’ with you while you attempt to learn a new stitch or follow a difficult pattern? Wouldn’t it be nice to have at least a couple of people who would oooh and aah over your latest creation – who actually recognize the amount of time and energy that went into the making of that baby afghan or a sweater?

Between 4-10 yarncrafters meet on Monday mornings from 10 AM-12 PM in the rectory meeting room to knit, crochet, and enjoy the company of crafting together. Our beginners can learn from more experienced knitters and crocheters and we also exchange patterns and ideas. Please join us as your schedule permits. We don’t charge dues and all are welcome.

Good for the Soul

They say that taking up a skill like knitting or crocheting is a good thing for the mind and body, so why not share your know-how with others or learn this new craft? Being an active part of the community is even proven to make you healthier and happier!

Sharing with Others

Some members of our group knit and crochet to bring love, comfort, and blessings to others by making scarves, hats, blankets, sweaters, and toys to donate to the very young, elderly, sick, lonely, injured, bereaved, or destitute.

Donations

If you would like to donate materials, we prefer to use the following brands of 100% Acrylic, 3 or 4-ply yarn:

  • Red Heart
  • Caron
  • I Love This Yarn
  • Big Twist

We appreciate 300+ yards and full skeins only, please.

If you don’t like to shop, consider purchasing a Michaels or JoAnn Fabrics SCRIP card to donate to us or make a monetary contribution. Donations may be left in the parish office.
