Walking in Grace
Sharing Christ’s Love through Word and Sacrament
Walking in Grace is a Catholic outreach ministry of St. Patrick Church, dedicated to bringing the healing presence of Christ to those in nursing homes, assisted living, and sober living facilities. Rooted in the Eucharist and the Word of God, our mission is to share faith, hope, and community with individuals who may feel isolated or unable to participate fully in parish life.
Grounded in Catholic teaching and inspired by Christ’s call to visit the sick, this ministry serves as a bridge of mercy and joy between the Church and those longing for connection and spiritual care.
Our ministry team—made up of compassionate volunteers—offers:
-
Bible studies that are welcoming, reflective, and accessible to all spiritual backgrounds
-
Holy Communion for residents unable to attend Mass, reminding them they are a vital part of the Body of Christ
-
Meaningful conversation and companionship, ensuring no one is forgotten
Whether you're drawn to share Scripture, bring the Eucharist, or simply be a listening heart, we invite you to join us in this beautiful work of mercy.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.”
— Matthew 25:35-36
Volunteer Requirements
