FR. DAN SHAUGHNESSY
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
After a full and bustling week in parish life, I’m reminded how fitting it is that we now celebrate Holy Trinity Sunday — a solemnity that draws us into the very heart of who God is: a communion of love, unity, and mission. As Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, our God is not solitary but relational. This great mystery isn’t something we’re meant to fully understand, but rather to live — by being drawn deeper into community with God and with one another.
Here at St. Patrick, we’re blessed to see this spirit of communion lived out in our ministries. I’m happy to share two important staff updates this week:
First, we’re excited to welcome Jackie Steckel back to the parish ministry team! Jackie will serve as our new Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) Coordinator. Jackie’s love for the Catholic faith is infectious, and she’s already brimming with new ideas to help those who feel the Holy Spirit tugging at their hearts — whether they’re considering becoming Catholic themselves or want to invite someone else on that journey. If this speaks to you, don’t hesitate to reach out to Jackie at 636-332-9225 ext 272 or jackie@stpatsch.org. Welcome aboard, Jackie!
Second, we extend heartfelt thanks to Jim Randazzo, who recently stepped down from his role as Music Minister at the 5:00 p.m. Saturday Evening Vigil Mass after seven years of faithful service. We’re deeply grateful for the joy and talent Jim has shared with us over the years.
Stepping into this role is a familiar face to many: Darlene Schroeder. A longtime parishioner, Darlene has served both as interim Music Director and a trusted substitute musician. She now brings her experience and passion to the Saturday Vigil Mass, supported by our gifted team of parish cantors. Welcome, Darlene!
As we honor the mystery of the Holy Trinity this weekend, may we also celebrate the ways God continues to work through the people and ministries of our parish family. Please join me in praying for Jackie, Darlene, and for all those who serve in the mission of the Church.
