FR. DAN SHAUGHNESSY
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
There are so many great things going on around St. Patrick Parish that I’m not sure where to begin!
First, on Friday, February 21, we closed on the MFA property at the corner of South Church Street and West Main Street. Acquiring this property is critical to the long-term expansion plans for our parish. If you see Russ Henke or Corey Ketchum, please thank them for their efforts and follow-through in making this deal happen. Know, too, we have acquired one of the Circle Drive houses and are nearing the closing date on another Circle Drive house. Most exciting! More properties are soon to come. Please make an effort to join us for our March 4th Town Hall Meeting in the Social Hall, where we will brief the parish on our property acquisition efforts.
Second, Mission and Identity Director Sean Feltz, also a gifted musician, led us in music and worship at the 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 5 p.m. Sunday Masses on February 23rd. Great job, Sean! He will be permanently joined by Pete Buncher on Sun-day, March 2nd. You can check out a YouTube video about Pete (where he is joined by his sister, Mary Kate Westrich) by searching “Music & Mission #37”. Having Pete join our St. Patrick team is most exciting.
And third, we had an awesome Emerald Gala on Saturday, February 22nd. Thanks to so many, but especially to our School Principal Jill Gould; Co-Chairs Eric Eyman and Marc Tiernan; all the amazing Committee Members; and so, so, so many more. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated volunteers, whose hard work and passion made this event possible. The Emerald Gala grossed $176,511. That’s an incredible response from our St. Patrick families. Thank you. God bless. Be looking for a “Save the Date” for February of 2026.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Dan Shaughnessy
