Liturgy and Worship
Boys and girls assist priest as candle, cross and book bearers in the sanctuary at Liturgies and Devotions.
Parishioners meet on the First Monday of each month at 7:00 PM to plan meaningful liturgies and devotions and to promote active participation by all parishioners
Persons with a special gift of song lead the congregation in sung prayer.
The adult choir sings with organ/piano accompaniment at the 9:00 AM Mass on Sunday (September - May - Pentecost). The 5:00 PM Mass on Saturday has organ/piano accompaniment with cantor. Volunteers sing with organ/piano accompaniment at the 11:00 AM Mass on Sunday.
All are welcome to come spend time with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament between 8:30 AM and 8:00 PM every First Friday of the month. This consists of quiet prayer and meditation closing with Benediction at 8:00 PM.
Adults, 18 years of age and older, assist in the distribution of Holy Communion at all Masses and also bring Communion to shut-ins.
Parishioners who welcome people as they arrive for Mass and are responsible for gathering our offerings to God for the support of His Church.
Teens and adults proclaim God’s Word at all Liturgies. Initial training is provided and periodically Lector Workshops are scheduled. It’s the obligation of a lector to make every effort to attend these workshops. Lector workbooks are available to help prepare for the delivery of God’s Word with respect, dignity and meaning. Lectors should have a good, strong voice and be able to project God’s Word meaningfully.
