St. Vincent de Paul Society
Join St. Vincent de Paul members on their spiritual growth journey through service to people in need. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. It is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or often through direct dollar or in-kind service. An essential precept of the Society's work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served. The Society recognizes that it must assume, also, a role of advocacy for those who are defenseless or voiceless. Some 12 million persons are helped annually by Vincentians in the United States.
The list of services of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the United States is endless. No work of charity is foreign to the Society. To quote our patron, St. Vincent de Paul: "Charity is infinitely inventive."
Mary Martha Thrift Shop
Mary Martha Thrift Store (MM) is a small, but busy non-profit thrift shop run completely by volunteers from 8 different Christian churches in Wentzville and neighboring cities. All profits made at MM are donated back into the community to various (about 20) non-profit organizations, including the SVDP Food Pantry & St. Patrick’s School.
Mary Martha is located at 9 W. Koenig St., Wentzville, MO. The store is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am-4 pm, and on Saturdays from 9 am to noon, except on holidays. MM’s prices are truly a bargain, as they are generally considerably lower than at most thrift shops.
Volunteers from St Patrick’s are responsible for running the store for an entire week once every 8 weeks only. We are always in need of more volunteers to both sort & price items, & to work in the store for the entire week. Volunteers usually work half or full days, 1 or 2 days every 8 weeks, depending upon their availability. If you love treasure hunting for bargains, while volunteering with a wonderful group of people and helping others, this ministry is for you! We need all kinds of people! Volunteers can work as much or as little as they prefer.

Caring and Sharing
A group of Christian men and women whose ministry is the same and that is to feed the hungry as Jesus said to do. We turn no one away. We are all volunteers and keep the organization running on pure donations with God as our CEO.
Emergency food pantry for individuals and families that need food when their local pantries are closed. We also distribute food to rural pantries that do not have the amenities that larger pantries have in the St Charles area. We also put together Blessing Backpacks for the homeless and meals for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter for the needy.
